The 4th Ranger Battalion is proud to annouce it has partnered with
Eternal Champions and [eC]^Live. With [eC]^Live, we are trying to
bring some of the fun back to the game. Who doesn't like seeing
their name up in lights?
Well, on servers running [eC]^Live, now you can ... if you're good enough. Current leaders in score, kills and frag rate are periodically announced to everyone on the server, so you can get your 15 minutes of fame. Not good enough? No need to worry, as the current "Weakest Link" is given a little ribbing, as well.
Indexed screen shots are another feature of [eC]^Live. A lot of server admins don't manage and prune their screen shot page as well as they should, and after time you'll start to see "roll over" where a single screen shot number is linked to multiple different players. This makes finding a screen shot for a player very difficult. [eC]^Live indexes each screen shot as it is taken, making sure that each screen shot number shows only the most recent player to have had that number. As a little bonus, when viewing screen shot details for a player, you will see screen shots from all [eC]^Live enabled servers for that player ! The screen shot still resides on your server, so it's valid for AC purposes, we just give you a valid pointer to it. Name changers beware !
[eC]^Live uses no server-side hacks or injected executables, strictly the tools and protocols provided by the AGP developers. Even better, there's no additional load or lag on servers running [eC]^Live.
